Working the Land

 

		Horse power.
		They needed timber: Burgess's sawmill, near Digby.
		And they needed bricks: kilns at Pleasant Hills property.
The days when the Western District did ride on the sheeps' back.
		Saving for the days when it doesn't rain.
		Making lighter work: an International tractor and a Cliff and Bunting machine.
A simple pleasure of country life? Or a tedious chore?
