Jack Turney 1944 B 2027 R.A.N.R. .Jack took this collection of photos he was at at the Brisbane depot from 1936 until the outbreak of the war and was drafted to Sydney on Sept 1939 to join H.M.S. Kanimbla{A.M.C.}2years overseas,mainly around Hong Kong,India ,Durban.Back to AustraliabXmas day 1941 Drafted to Corvette "Geraldton" Sydney back overseas for 2years ,India ,Persian Gulfand Mediteranean.On arrival back in Brisbane spent about 4months Gangway H.M.A.S.Moreton early 1945 drafted to Darwin for 18 months Discharged in 1946 Joined the seamans union then spent 31 years on dredges on the BrisbaneRiver and about 10 years of this on coastal ships.
